C+W O’Brien Architects designed and managed the refurbishment and extension of The Waterloo Bar, a traditional city centre pub. We blended contemporary furniture and fittings with classic oak detailing and craftsmanship to create a sophisticated, timeless interior.

Our aim was to preserve the pub’s authentic charm while adding modern elements for comfort, functionality, and durability. We selected rich, warm materials and vintage-inspired decor to create a cosy, welcoming atmosphere.

Thoughtful lighting, flexible seating, and modern amenities ensure the pub caters to both locals and visitors. The result is a perfect fusion of heritage and modern style.
