Calogero is a Project Manager and BIM Specialist with a decade of experience in the AECO Industry.
He is a member of Ireland’s Eastern BIM Region Steering Group and of CitA Modern Methods of Construction Steering Group, having been involved since the committees’ inception and contributing to actively encourage the Irish Construction Industry to take full advantage of current and emerging technology.
Calogero attained a Post Grad Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College and an Architectural Technology Honours Degree from the Institute of Technology Carlow.
During his career Calogero has gained extensive experience in the design office environment as well as on construction sites, working with successful architectural practices and with one of Ireland’s leading main contractors, on residential, commercial, public, mixed-use developments and PPP projects of different scale.
During his first 4 years with C+W O’Brien Architects, Calogero worked in the role of BIM Manager, leading the firm and parent group during the digital transition; his role has evolved and in his current position he is utilising his BIM and architectural experience to explore how processes and technologies can be leveraged in the integration of the different disciplines by effective communication, analysis of the project systems for constructability, estimation of cost and time of projects, drawing a big picture of projects using visualizations and building collaborative teams to develop innovative solutions leading to improved building performance through lean and efficient work practices
