Ellen Ballard

Associate

Ellen is an experienced Project Architect with a strong background in commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism in 2011 in São Paulo, Brazil, after completing a Civil Construction Studies qualification at Technical College in 2005.

Early in her career, Ellen specialized in commercial building fit-outs and project management at Cushman & Wakefield in Brazil. She also gained international experience through a Business Exchange Program in Poland in 2011.

In 2012, Ellen relocated to Dublin, Ireland, where she joined an architecture firm, working for nearly six years. During this time, she developed extensive expertise in Irish Planning Legislation and Building Regulations, managing large-scale residential, retail, and commercial projects across County Dublin.

Ellen became a registered member of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI) in 2016, making her one of the first Brazilian architects on the Irish Register. She later expanded her expertise in sustainable design by completing a postgraduate diploma in nZEB Policy and Technology at Dublin Institute of Technology in 2018, focusing on energy-efficient residential and commercial developments.

Since joining C+W O’Brien Architects in 2019 as a Project Architect, Ellen has played a key role in delivering large-scale residential (BTR & BTS) developments, co-living projects, film studios, and hotels. Her expertise in sustainable architecture, urban planning, and project management continues to drive innovation and excellence across diverse architectural sectors.
