With Ireland’s housing deficit estimated at over 200,000 homes, mixed-living developments are helping address the shortage of homes. By providing options – affordable, flexible housing solutions for young professionals and singles co-living offers an alternative to traditional, often prohibitively expensive, housing options. Embracing these innovative living arrangements could help urban areas, combat isolation and make city living more accessible and sustainable.

Our Rathmines Co-Living project with Grayling Properties which converted a disused 1980’s office building into a bespoke co-living development is at full occupancy. The property consisting of 110 studio apartments has provided much-needed accommodation for professionals in Dublin while positively contributing to the Rathmines area by repurposing and revitalising a vacant property. Rathmines is one of the most beautiful and distinctive areas of Dublin, with a rich social buzz and a real mix of architecture styles.

The apartments at Rathmines House have been carefully designed to feel spacious. Clever layouts help separate your sleeping, studying, kitchen and lounge areas. And with at least two windows in each room, enjoy plenty of natural daylight.

Why this project works:

  • Regeneration of derelict building
  • Retaining the asthetic and charm of the locality
  • Provision of 110 homes in a sought-after area
  • Bringing new residents with disposable income to the area
  • Providing not just accommodation but a co-living space so that residents feel safe and like a community
  • Use of app technology to manage the amenities on site
