This proposed development in Cookstown, Dublin 24, will be one of Ireland’s largest, build-to-rent schemes. It will provide 1,104 apartment units across 4 sites. The 7 blocks will range in height from 7- to 15-storeys. The project will provide a range of apartment types, including 185 studio apartment 307 one-bedroom apartments, 628 two-bedroom apartments, 28 three bedroom apartments, and 7 four bedroom apartments. The development will also provide a creche, offices space, retail units, a gym and a wide range of communal spaces.
The scheme has excellent public transport connections such as Dublin Bus and the red line Luas, it is proposed that this development be a “Car-Free Development”. It will provide a minimal amount of parking in order to promote the use of the developed public transport systems of the surrounding area. It is also proposed to provide 10% of the proposed development as spaces suitable for electric charging points. A provision is to be made for car sharing spaces for companies such as ‘GoCar’ to serve the developments residents and visitors. Over 2100 bicycle spaces will also be provided for residents and visitors.
